Because we want you to know all about the Building, Buying, and Delivery processes for your shed, here are some of the most common questions and their respective answers.
Will this building fit where I want it to go?
9 times out of 10 the answer is “YES”! We bring your shed on a trailer but then unload and place it in your yard with our little machine called the Mule. If you are still unsure, don’t hesitate to send us pictures of where you intend to put your prefabricated shed. We are also happy to come look at your property and make sure it will fit prior to you buying a shed from the Backyard Barn in Pace FL. We also are now building sheds on site for those times when it just simply doesn’t work to bring in a pre-built shed.
Do I need to level the yard?
Unless it is majorly un-level or is on a significant slope you do not need to smooth the ground. We always level the buildings using treated wood blocks, this is included in our Free Setup and Delivery. However, if you want to prepare a pad for us that definitely makes our job easier!
Do you put my portable building on blocks when you deliver it?
The skids/runners that your portable shed is built on are treated for ground contact so they don’t need to be sitting on concrete blocks. However, if you feel more comfortable having your shed on blocks then just have them available at time of delivery and we will be happy to put them under the building. Do I need to get permits since it is a portable building?
We are not responsible for permits, it is the customer’s responsibility. Furthermore, we sell to several different counties, lots of different cities, townships, and even subdivisions. Each has their requirements and it is nearly impossible for us to know all the answers. We specialize in knowing the answers to your questions about our buildings.
Do you build sheds on site? My gate is too small to get the one I want in my yard.
No, we are not able to build on site. Before you decide for certain to another company build on site, you may want to check out our Delivery page to understand how big of clearance we need to get your building in. It may be just as good to try taking a portion of the fence down instead of building on site.
What is the wind rating?
All our sheds are engineered, built, and Florida approved for the local wind load code.
Is that some sort of particle board on the sides?
It is a press board but far different from the old fashioned OSB that would swell or start de-laminating shortly after getting wet. Our siding and flooring have water, termite, bacteria, and fungus resistance built in so it can last for years and show no signs of swelling or deterioration. The company we buy from is so confident in the longevity that they put a 5 year full replacement warranty and a 50 year pro-rated warranty on it.
Do I need to paint it every several years?
No, our Urethane and paint lasts for a very long time. In fact the Urethane we use from Haley paints has a 10 year warranty against fading and peeling. The paint has a 25 year warranty!
What is your interest rate?
Technically it is Rent and not Interest. Talk to me about how the Rent fees and Principal are split up as they can vary depending on the length of time you choose. Check out the Rent to Own page for info on how our Rent to Own works.
Do I own it after the payments are thru?
Yes, you can pay off the remainder balance at any time and the building is completely yours.
Do you have Sheds for Sale in Pace?

Do I buy the display model?
Yes, if you like the building you see on our lot than that is the one we sell you and bring to you. However, if you want something different about it we can custom build a portable storage shed just for you.
What are the Warranties on your portable buildings?
Stor-Mor buildings have a 5 year warranty on them. Some of the materials used in constructing the buildings have a warranty of their own.
LP SmartSiding has a 5 year full replacement and 50 year pro-rated warranty
LP Pro-Struct Flooring has a 1 year full replacement and 10 year pro-rated warranty
The roof metal is a 40 year warranty product
The Haley brand urethane wall coating has a 10 year warranty
The Sherwin Williams paint has a 25 year warranty

A: We typically have a large inventory of sheds and buildings that are ready for delivery. If you order one of our pre-built sheds or buildings, we can typically have it delivered within 5-7 business days. If you need a custom shed or steel building, it may take a little longer, but we will work with you to get it done as quickly as possible.
